2D Laser Cut Engraving!!

I FINALLY DID IT!!
And it came out soo well! The wooden sample scared me a little, but the acrylic never lets you down💪
I cant wait to find a use for these,, maybe as decoration, or as a coaster,, at least for the wooden one LOL
I am now a laser cutting enthusiast!!

Canoe YAY!!

For this task, we were assigned to make a Canoe, it was relatively easy when following along with my Professor!
I really like how it turned out, as simple as it is :)

Mugtastic!!

Wowwee!!
When creating this mug my Professor was mentioning ceramics, which reminded me of a failed mug that i made out of clay when i was in high school.
So with that in mind i felt nostalgic and wanted to see if i could recreate it in rhino!
Loosely based off of Artemis from sailor moon, the little cat, i gave my mug a little crescent moon, however its kinda hard to make out,, that's partly on me not choosing more contrasting colours,, but whatevs :P

My potential objects

I was really stumped for this project,, I had no idea what objects i should or could realistically do. But i managed to find some potential pieces,

The only issue i have is that some of the objects can only be disassembled so much without breaking them,,
I might just end up with recreating knuckles (the little sonic guy), i think hes really silly and he would be complex enough to recreate.

Textures?

oh boy this one is a doozie...

Oh man where do i begin, I'm gonna be completely transparent with you.... I tried T_T
i don't know where it all went wrong, i pressed every button, i slid every slider, i messed with every input i could, yet nevertheless i couldn't FUCKING figure out how to make it seamless and well,,, good looking. (excuse the language)
:enter sad face here:

not everyone is a winner LOLOL
next project i will do my best to not frick it up

See ya :")

2D Surface Design

So for my 2D design i was originally inspired by my bracelets that i wear all the time,

these hold a certain sentimental value to me, so i wanted to keep that feeling in my design. Which is why i chose the subject matter i did, well get to that later lol.

The bracelets i have use surface design in their favor, the black one for example, uses the same pattern but it mirrors it horizontally, so that it has a flip flop effect to it. LOL
The silver bracelet just uses the same design again, less interesting comparatively, however the shape of the panels have these interesting grooves on it, which i think are pretty funky, in a good way!

There were a few other things i took a picture of that showed examples of 2D surface design, however these examples weren't as cool as what i was going for. >:)

Except for the chains, those were helpful

Time to yap about why i chose what i chose, first of all i love video games, i know kinda dorky, however there is one game that rules above them all, my beloved dragon age 2. Its really not that good of a game, the graphics aren't game changing, the level design (if you can call it that) just reuses most of the sets and textures, and the story is admittedly kinda boring.
Why do i love it then? i hear you ask,,,, simple, its the characters and relationships between them that hold it all together, and one certain character in general, a broody white haired elf, that i am clinically obsessed with.
At this point I'm going to end up getting a tattoo dedicated to him, but i digress, this character is Fenris, my muse, back when i first played the game, this was probably early to mid high school, i was going through a lot, and using dragon age as a  way to "escape" was,, well it was what i did. This shitty game is one of the reasons that kept me going and the determination and resilience shown from Fenris was, in a really corny way, inspiring.
This sentiment is the reason why i chose to represent him in this project, also its pretty and was really fun to make!
With all that being said with the actual design, i wanted to create something that i would personally enjoy, and not just chuck in a box when I'm done with it. I think it turned out wonderfully, and I'm curious how I'm supposed to go ahead and laser cut it into reality.

Anywhoo!, this project was another banger, and I'm excited to see where we go from here! After all I'm the average rinohead enthusiast now!

3D Castle design :)

Above me there are a few images I managed to capture through trial and error, I'll get to that later, of my 3D modeled castle!! Whoo hooo?

About the castle itself, I wanted it to be kind of gothic and creepy, however 3D modeling is tedious work, and at my skill set right now it was a little challenging, especially since I was working on my dinky ol' laptop the whole time (practically) . After one or two crashes this was the final result, I unfortunately wasn't able to create everything I wanted to, such as stained glass windows, or a gargoyle LOL. But I think that what I was able to make came out pretty well, I think its awfully cute, id totally live there.
Originally I did have a fully rendered image, actually I had two, but for some reason my computer is shitting its pants and hiding those files from me, every time I tried to properly render my computer would have a stroke and freeze so I kinda gave up on that, so the void is where my castle resides for now. We'll get em next time..
In the future i think id probably spend more time at the good computers when modeling/rendering,,, for obvious reasons, and id probably give myself more time to work, yet that's kind of a me problem T_T

Below is some progress screencaps of my work in progress:
I really enjoyed this project and I'm excited to see where this class goes! :)
..now its time to work on those shapes I've been procrastinating on,

See ya!
